Lies – Arrogance and the “Obama Way”

Made your Decision???

Now in Paperback

Remember when the U.S. Embassy was considered American soil – wherever it might be.  Remember when the American Embassy was viewed by the world as a place of refuge; a symbol of the greatest country on Earth – a place where the poorest, most helpless person on Earth could be kept safe from the harshest most powerful dictator, if he could just make his way through the gate? Remember when it meant something when someone burned the American flag?  Remember when killing a U.S. Ambassador would have been tantamount to issuing a death warrant on yourself?  Those fading memories  have all been put away quietly by this president, in some obscure corner of the White House, wrapped with apologies, lest anyone suspect us of flashing our power.  Today, under the Obama administration, we have an alternate reality that shifts and changes by the moment – an illusion of power where he orders surgical killings, but is constantly on the search for something that might warrant another apology.  While “Friendly” Afghans assassinated our troops, he responded vigorously…with an apology for the Koran burnings – Korans being used by prisoners to transmit intelligence.  While our Ambassador to Libya and three of his staff are brutally – sadistically murdered, he looks frantically for a third rate amateurish video that will allow him to step away from the fray and enjoy his comfort zone as an apologist.  Meantime, back at home, he crows as the undisputed campaigner-in-chief, showing us his view of the world – a world where we no longer have an American flag, but an Obama flag.  Unbelievable?  Here it is:

See at:  (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/new-obama-flag-looks-eerily-like-bloody-handprints-at-benghazi-consulate/)

Only a Campaign symbol?  Remember when every square inch of our flag was revered?  No longer good enough for the Obama campaign?   In their typical arrogance, they no doubt see the American flag as one more thing they can do better.  Indeed, they have a strange view of reality.

With more than 30 countries literally on fire and brewing troubles in others, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice recently appeared on ABC’s This Week with Jake Tapper.[1]  Responding to a question from Mr. Tapper as to why America had grown less popular across the Middle East despite President Obama’s Muslim outreach, Ms. Rice did what this administration seems to do so consistently.  She argued that the dark moonlit sky above us does not really signify night – and in fact, dark glasses were required to avoid the harsh glare of the sun.  Translated – she spoke like an insane person, living in an alternate reality.   With the trademark arrogance made famous by the Obama administration, Ms. Rice had no doubt that her every word would be accepted and perhaps even cherished.  What did she say?  She responded defensively that we’re not less popular and even challenged Tapper’s basis for making such an observation.[2]

And little wonder say Obama’s admirers…imagine a seasoned journalist coming to such a conclusion solely on the basis of the murder of a U.S. Ambassador and three of his staff, attacks on our embassies, burnings of the American flag, mobs chanting “Obama, Obama,” we are all Osama, while carrying signs calling for the annihilation of  America and Israel…the recklessness of such an assumption is beyond the pale!!!

Don’t forget the movie.  Ambassador Rice reminded us again that the attacks leading to the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and his three staffers was the result of spontaneous riots, where participants just happened to be carrying Rocket Propelled Grenades and launchers…makes sense.  It was an obscure movie that provoked those murders and riots around the world.  The low budget film, released in July seemed to be dormant for two months, as if hidden in a closet.  Then on just a random date – say, September 11th, all Hell broke loose.  In the world of Ambassador Rice and President Obama, that probably makes perfect sense.  And, if so, that’s really frightening.

Sarcasm aside, her response was all too typical of the stream of lies, half-truths and distortions that have come to characterize President Obama and his administration.  Republicans want dirty air and dirty water?[3]  We want to throw grandma over the cliff?  A few days ago, the President said that he has learned that “If you want to be president you’ve got to work for everybody, not just for some.” [4] Unless you’ve been out of the country for the last four years, with no access to television, radio and print material, that’s got to pull a laugh.  When he still held a majority in both houses of Congress, he was already berating Republicans for driving the “car” (of state) into the ditch and telling them they could come along, but would have to “sit in back”[5]…an outstanding way, no doubt often used by Obama to build consensus.  Was this an example of  working for both Republicans and Democrats?

How many times in his first several months as President did he remind us that “Elections have consequences” and “I won.”[6]  Was he binding the wounds – bringing people together – working for everybody?

Then there was his instruction to Latinos to “Punish your enemies,” and his warning that if you are Hispanic and taking your child out for ice cream,   “you’re going to be harassed.”  Was he working for everybody?

He wondered, in the pages of  Dreams from my Father:

“whether a black politics that suppressed rage toward whites generally, or one that failed to elevate race loyalty above all else, was a politics inadequate to the task.”[7]

Has he then been working for black Americans, or white Americans?  Or, was this still another example of Obama working for everybody?

It all seems to beg a question.  Another video was just uncovered, in which Obama again identifies himself as being in favor of redistribution.  He has said that on more than one occasion.  Remember “Joe the Plumber?”

Now, does he represent the people to whom hard earned, redistributed money will flow – or, does he represent those who have worked for what they have and from whom it will be “redistributed” to others?

Well, I guess he’s “working for everybody.”  That’s what he said.  Remember, “Elections have consequences.”  He did win.

We did not.  But, we have another chance in November.

“Obama, Obama, We are all Osama!”

Listening to Susan Rice, Jay Carney and the mainstream media regarding this year’s 9/11 attacks,  should have the head of every American spinning like Linda Blair’s in the Exorcist.

Since this year’s 9/11 attacks on our Embassy in Cairo and our Consulate in Benghazi, the Obama administration has done its very best to circle the wagons.  The Administration’s political spin is that these attacks, along with violent protests in more than 20 Countries around the world, including Australia and the president’s former home of Djakarta, were triggered solely by an obscure film reportedly produced by California real estate developer Sam Bacile.  “Innocence of Muslims,” released  on YouTube in July,  “depicts the Prophet Mohammed as a womanizer, pedophile, and homosexual,”.[1]  Bacile, reportedly also known as Nakoula Basseley, allegedly has an arrest history for drugs and bank fraud.[2]

U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice told Fox Sunday host Chris Wallace that none of the protests have had anything to do with the policies of the Obama Administration.  Her conclusion – and she was adamant – was that the 9/11 attacks and those since, are the direct result of the Bacile film.[3]  White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has said the same.  Both ignore claims that the 9/11 attacks in Egypt and Libya were well orchestrated, sophisticated acts of terrorism.  Both seem to be telling us that there was no reason to have beefed up security at the Cairo and Benghazi facilities on 9/11.  Both also seem to ignore chanting in these protests that dates back to the May 2012 Tunisian riots, when Obama was called an “ape,” and members of the mob chanted:  “Obama, Obama, we are all Osama.” [4]  These are similar to the chants more recently heard in Lebanon, where the mob chanted “Listen, Listen Obama, We are all Osama,”.[5]

And, as with nearly everything else that Obama and his administration announce, his claim that “The film did it”  has been picked up by the media and reiterated by nearly every mainstream reporter and commentator.  The result is that the film has been elevated to a position of prominence across the globe.  If it was not the source of violence on 9/11, it most certainly has become a source in the days following the tragic murders of Ambassador Chris Stevens and his staff members.  Arguably, the Administration’s position has increased, rather than ameliorated violence in the region and in the world.  YouTube is now flooded with uploads of the movie and trailer.  All of this begs a nagging question of to what extent will a community organizer, agitator and politician go, in order to deflect blame?

Perhaps there should be a few FAQs – Let’s pretend these are:

Did we need additional security on 9/11?  I would expect that given the authority, most rookie agents, police officers, or military E-1s would have made the call to add Marine guards on the anniversary of 9/11.  Both countries are in transition and the area is known by all, to be thoroughly unstable.  Imagine that we can put a billion dollars in the hands of a country our President says is not an ally – but, we can’t make the expenditure to move a group of Marines to protect our Embassies and Diplomatic personnel on a symbolic date in a volatile region.

Is the “Innocence of Muslims” responsible for the riots and for the murders of Ambassador Chris Stevens and his staff members?  How about Obama “spiking the football” on the shooting of Osama Bin Laden – how about Biden taking up the widely repeated gratuitous and macho slogan “Osama bin Laden is dead, and General Motors is alive.”  One might logically think that this possibility is supported by demonstrators chanting “…we are all Osama.”

Why are Afghan “Friendlies” killing our soldiers? When Obama issued apologies for the burning of the Korans used by Al Qaeda prisoners to transmit intelligence messages, “friendly” Afghan partners turned their guns on our troops, killing a total of six and wounding several others in three separate incidents.  Since this year’s 9/11 attacks and the repeated media references to the Bacile film, another eight American soldiers have been killed in the same manner – also in three separate incidents.

Did Obama tell the truth about not approving the Cairo Embassy’s statement/apology before the attack on 9/ll?  Let’s look at the wording of the statement.

“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”[6]

Notice the words “…to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims –“  This has significance.  Remember, we are talking about a president who wanted “Empathetic” Supreme Court Justices.  We’re talking about a President who called it his:

“responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”[7]

We’re talking about a president, whose first priority for NASA was to:

find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”[8]

Then there is the small matter of protocols for the release of statements on American policy in the international arena.  Would the Embassy have dared to make that release without his approval?

If Obama did not approve this statement, it certainly matched to near perfection, both the tone and content of “feelings” he has expressed in the past.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney responded to the Embassy statement,  saying:

“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

Minutes before Romney’s statement, the Obama administration disavowed the Embassy statement.   Since then, Romney has been the subject of attacks for his response.  In the meantime however, Obama and all of his minions have since returned, in all of their actions and sound bites, if not to the letter, certainly to the spirit of that original statement.

Is the relationship between the Obama administration and Israel “Unprecedented” in its closeness?  President Obama has made it clear from Day One, that he supports the Muslim faith – an interesting and dangerous position for a U.S. President.  Traditionally, our President addresses nations, not religions.  President Obama however, has consistently spoken of Muslims as a monolithic entity, despite the fact that they are spread among some 57 diverse countries.  Regrettably, we may say now, that he has done a great deal to unify them, while apparently working very hard to divide America.

Obama Implies War Hero Un-American! When does it stop? – Reason #91

Only 64 Days Remaining!

Obama Implies War Hero Un-American

Tonight signifies the opening of  the Democratic National Convention – a convention hoping to produce the re-election of a president who, after four years, still blames the Bush Administration for America’s problems.  Worse, while he doggedly refuses to accept personal responsibility for his own presidency, he has apologized for, denigrated and treated dismissively, our military and law enforcement heroes.

On Dec. 14, 2010, a Border Patrol agent was killed by a firearm allowed to “walk” across the border in an ill-conceived operation known as “Fast and Furious.”  Our Attorney General not only stonewalled the Congressional investigation into the case, but waited more than a year to apologize to Agent Brian Terry’s family.  He did so by email.  President Obama claimed Executive Privilege to aid in the “stonewalling.”

On Nov. 5, 2009, the president appeared at the Tribal Nations Conference, addressed the group on what amounted to “housekeeping” issues, gave a “shout out” to an attending Medal of Freedom winner (Obama says “Congressional Medal of Honor), returned to a discussion of the conference and only then, after this long monologue, in an “oh by the way” fashion, finally mentioned that there had just been a shooting at Fort Hood, saying in part:

“What we do know is that a number of American soldiers have been killed, and even more have been wounded in a horrific outburst of violence.”

On Sept. 17, 2009, President Obama presented Staff Sergeant Jared Monti’s Medal of Honor posthumously, to his parents, at a White House ceremony.  On June 23, 2011, addressing members of the Army’s 10th Mountain Division, President Obama said, in part:

“…First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to, who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.”[1]

On December 12, 2010, Sgt. Sean Collins was killed in Afghanistan.  His family received a letter of condolence from Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell, in which she expressed sorrow for the death of “Bryn” – not Sean.  Sgt. Collins’ father requested a phone call from President Obama to Sean’s mother, but after several days, he was reportedly informed that the President could not fit the call into his schedule.[2]   The President had no such conflict however, in calling the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles to passionately praise him for giving convicted felon Michael Vick a second chance at pro football.  He had no problem with finding time to call his hero of the contraception wars, Sandra Fluke, to praise her bravery.  But, when it came to consoling the mother of a soldier killed in action, there just wasn’t time.

During February, 2012, U.S. soldiers removed several hundred pieces of extremist material, including Korans on which extremist messages had been written, from the Parwan Detention Facility in Afghanistan. According to U.S. military officials, these materials were being used to exchange extremist messages.  Following their removal from the library, the items were burned in a pile of garbage.[3]Instead of rewarding these soldiers, Obama promised Afghan President Hamid Karzai that:

“We will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, including holding accountable those responsible,”[4]

By March 2, six U.S. soldiers had been killed and another five wounded by our so-called Afghan allies, including a Major and a LCOL, shot point blank as they sat at their desks in the Interior Ministry.  Obama noted in a Feb. 29th interview, that his apology had “calmed things down.”

Then there was the leaking of classified information regarding the Osama Bin Laden operation.  Attacking ads run in response to the leaks,  by  former SEALs who formed the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc., Obama noted simply, “I don’t take these folks too seriously.”[5]

The treatment afforded to his former political opponent and Vietnam war hero Senator John McCain, was no less stunning.  In October, 2010, during the run up to the 2010 mid-term elections, President Obama participated in a radio interview aired on the Latin station, Univision.  Once again, this former Community organizer and agitator took the opportunity to demonstrate just how far away he remains from any desire to unify Americans. “Referring specifically to Republicans such as Senator John McCain, who are stressing border security and supporting strict immigration laws like Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration measure, Mr. Obama said:

‘Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.’”[6]

That he would make this remark against any American can only be seen as treacherous. Leveling such a charge against a man who served honorably in the U.S. Military and withstood the horrors of a North Vietnamese prison camp – even turning down early release to abide by the rules governing POWs – says far more about Obama than it does about McCain.

While President Obama has suffered no shyness in repeatedly reminding Americans that he is the Commander-in-Chief, not even a two ton sand sculpture of his likeness can give him the stature that he has shown so clearly he does not deserve.
