The Good News – The Bad News

So, which would you like first?

I’m going to take a leap here and say that the Good News is that Our Free 50 is back. I hope you’ll agree.  You’re the reason.   Some of you have – after more than a year – still been returning to the site to check for new articles, or to re-read older ones.  I apologize that there was nothing new.  Likewise, many readers have continued to visit, or Like our Facebook Fan page – 203 Reasons Not to Vote for Barack Obama..  I thank all of you.

The Bad News is that Barack Obama is still President and will remain so for the next 19 months.  God knows what, or how much additional damage he can do to America before his term runs.  They say the first step to healing is to recognize that you have a problem.

It should grieve all of us, that our President is so far from this important first step.  Instead, with all the arrogance of a child king, Obama looks at the colossal mess he has made around the globe and declares with absolute certainty, that he has restored the world’s respect for America.

In our next few issues, we’ll revisit the strategy and tactics that Obama has employed to create divisiveness at home and chaos both here and abroad.

Look for our new posts every Friday, beginning .June 12, 2015. My pledge to you is that the writing here will be both true and accurate to the very best of my ability.  I’ll also try to keep things fast moving and as interesting as reality allows.  One thing I am not is a computer expert…or even a computer average – so, if you can think of some ways to make this blog better, friendlier, better distributed, etc., I hope you’ll let me know.  In the meantime…

Thanks for being here and God bless the Un-Transformed United States of America.

Obama and “The Same Rules?” – Reason #57

Only 114 Days Remaining!

“When Everyone Plays by the Same Rules”

How many times have we heard President Obama say:

“I believe that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, when everyone does their fair share, when everyone plays by the same rules. These aren’t Democratic values or Republican values. These aren’t 1 percent values or 99 percent values. They’re American values. And we have to reclaim them.”[i]

It is a fitting illustration of this Administration’s hypocrisy to note that as of September, 2010, Obama and his Administration were “reclaiming” these American values as follows:

41 White House Aides owed $831,000 in back taxes

1,971 members of Holder’s Dept. of Justice, owed $14,350,152 in overdue taxes

4,856 members of the Dept. of Homeland Security, owed $37,012,174 to the IRS

In all, federal employees throughout the U.S. owed one billion dollars in back taxes[ii]

Obama rails against so-called “millionaires and billionaires” (he really means everybody making over $250,000 per year) not paying their fair share.  Obama preaches the need for redistributing America’s wealth, in order to give everyone a fair shot.  But, at the end of the day, it appears that Obama and members of his Administration mean to promote American values only with our money – not theirs.

Is This Hope and Change? – Reason #54

Safe Schools Czar – Really?

From 2009 – 2011, Kevin Jennings served as Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar,” with the formidable official title of Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, U.S. Department of Education.

According to Fox News, Jennings – a former teacher himself – has advocated for the promotion of homosexuality in schools and, on one known occasion, failed to report a probable sexual encounter between a 15 year old student and an older adult.[i]  When told by the boy: ‘Well, I met someone in the bus station bathroom and I went home with him,'” Jennings told the student, “You know, I hope you knew to use a condom.”  The young man answered “Why should I? My life isn’t worth saving anyway.”[ii]

Following media reports showing the boy as 15 and therefore, underage in Massachusetts, where the incident occurred, the ex-student reportedly came forward to advise that he was actually 16 at the time – the Massachusetts age of consent.  He also said in an interview with Media Matters, that he “…had no sexual contact with anybody at the time.”[iii]  In a 2000 speech however, Jennings indicated the boy was 15.[iv] This was apparently Jennings’ belief at the time of the incident.

How Does Obama See America – Whites – Cops? – Reason #49

Only 122 Days Remaining!

Whites, Cops and Black Theology

While Obama has been very effective in politically distancing himself from Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the man – it is not so easy to distance his behavior and expressed beliefs from the teachings of Wright and of James H. Cone’s Black Liberation Theology.  Remember the statement attributed to Obama’s friend “Marcus” in his first book Dreams from My Father?

“They had no reason to stop me.  No reason ‘cept I was walking in a white neighborhood.  Made me spread-eagle against the car.  One of ‘em pulled out his piece.  I didn’t let ‘em scare me, though.  That’s what gets these storm troopers off, seeing fear in a black man.” [i]

Recall Obama’s view of the slave trade?

“…the moment white men, themselves spurred on by their own fears of inconsequence, had landed on Africa’s shores, bringing with them their guns and blind hunger, to drag away the conquered in chains.” [ii]

Here are the words of James H. Cone, on whose Black Liberation Theology, Jeremiah Wright based his Church teachings – teachings embraced by Obama for at least 16 years of his life:

“….blacks are beaten at will by policemen as a means of protecting the latter’s ego superiority as well as that of the larger white middle class.”[iii]

Reason #41 – Obama’s Pride in America – a Mixed Message

Reason #41

Obama Finds Pride in America as Election Nears

During an interview with Barbara Walters, aired on ABC Nightline, on December 23, 2011, President Obama said:

“Here in the United States,  everybody’s always talking about China and how they’re rising.  When you’re in Asia, people are still looking to the United States.  They don’t look to China.  They look to the United States for Leadership, for security, on economics, on culture, on politics – not because they think we’re perfect, but because they realize that we are a unique superpower in the sense that we don’t just think about our self interest.  We also think about what’s good for the world.  And, I wouldn’t want us to trade places with anybody – and I want to communicate that more effectively to the American people.”

In October, 2010, he was not quite so happy with America, when he said of China:

“Right now, China’s building hundreds of thousands of miles of new roads. Over the next 10 years, it plans to build dozens of new airports. Over the next 20, it could build as many as 170 new mass transit systems. Everywhere else, they’re thinking big. They’re creating jobs today, but they’re also playing to win tomorrow.”[i]

In August, 2008, then Senator and Presidential Candidate Obama was quick to show the losing role of America – particularly, as compared with China:

“Think about the amount of money that China has spent on infrastructure. Their ports, their train systems, their airports are vastly the superior to us now…”[ii]

And, as for receiving the world’s admiration for not just thinking about our self interest, but also thinking about “what’s good for the world,” could Obama have been more supportive than in his 1990 statement that we were “mean-spirited” and ungenerous,[iii] or, in his January, 2009 interview on Al Arabiya TV, when he told their audience that “…all too often, the United States starts by dictating…”[iv] or, in his April 2009 speech at  the Summit of the Americas, where he confessed, “…we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms.”

The contrast of his current statement to his consistent position on these issues is indeed something to behold.  Perhaps, it has something to do with the proximity of the 2012 Presidential elections.

In true keeping with his “No Drama Obama” persona, time and time again, the President  illustrates his rugged ability to stare his own statements in the face and deny them with impunity.  Still, for those who watch and listen, he is indeed transparent.
